Meet the Doctors at Westgate Implant and Oral Surgery Center

Jamie Luria, DDS, MD

Dr. Jamie Luria, a Detroit native, obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from The University of Michigan. After graduation, he matriculated to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at The University of Buffalo, where he also completed his Medical Degree, and a year of General Surgery residency. In addition to oral and maxillofacial training, Dr. Luria completed extensive training in anesthesia, neurosurgery, and intensive/critical care. Dr. Luria’s interests lie in dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, pathology, and trauma. He currently is affiliated with both Cook County and Advocate Masonic Hospital where he actively takes trauma call and operates on patients necessitating a hospital setting. Dr. Luria is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and is a diplomate of the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology.

Dr. Luria’s focus above all else is the comfort and care of his patients. He makes it an utmost priority to listen to his patient’s needs and concerns, and formulate both surgical and anesthetic plans to make sure his patient’s can have the care that they need.

Jason Jamali, DDS, MD

Dr. Jason Jamali is originally from Michigan. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan followed by his dental degree at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Jamali then returned to the University of Michigan for his medical and oral and maxillofacial surgery training. This training exposed him to full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with additional training in reconstruction and microvascular surgery. Dr. Jamali also completed two years of general surgery and advanced training in anesthesia.

Following residency Dr. Jamali worked as a full-time assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago. While at UIC, he taught residents and dental students and authored several publications. Dr. Jamali continues teaching residents at Illinois Masonic Hospital where he also treats facial trauma. He has a special interest in orthognathic surgery, implants, facial trauma, and benign pathology.

Outside of work, Dr. Jamali enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife and kids.
